Overview

Aptly nicknamed "The Shark Tank," the SAP Center is the exclusive home to the NHL's San Jose Sharks and the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. It's currently a hockey haven, though the SAP Center has presented a number of other major sporting events, including NBA and NCAA basketball, indoor football and soccer matches, lacrosse and tennis. The SAP Center has also welcomed a number of best-selling musical artists through its doors over the past 25 years, a factor which led the arena to become the fourth-best-selling venue in the world for non-sporting events in 2006. It can accommodate roughly 19,000 patrons.

Handicap Accessibility

As indicated by the above seating chart, wheelchair accessible seating is available on all levels of the arena. Guests in these seats will be guaranteed unobstructed views of their event, and are allotted the purchase of one adjacent companion seat. The request for additional companion seating may be fulfilled subject to availability. Elevators and escalators are available to provide access to all levels for guests with limited mobility. Restrooms, entrances and concession areas are all in compliance with ADA standards for guests with disabilities.

Club/Suite Ticket Packages

Luxury suites are available for purchase at any SAP Center event, offering guests deluxe amenities, incredible sight-lines and an overall experience like no other. Suites can accommodate anywhere from 18 to 36 guests and include high-end furnishings, high definition televisions, food and beverage catering service, and an attentive concierge. Ticket holders will also be granted parking passes for their event.

Amenities

There is a wide variety of delicious concession options available in the arena. Guests can grab traditional fare like pizza, sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as Mexican and Asian cuisine at one of the dozens of concession areas. A range of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are also available. San Jose Sharks fans can stock up on official team gear while taking in a game, as the arena is equipped with multiple merchandise stands. ATMs are also located inside the arena for guest convenience.

Parking/Transportation

Getting to the arena is easy. The region's various rail systems all provide easy access via Diridon Station, which is located a short walking distance from the SAP Center. For guests driving there, the onsite parking lot is comprised of approximately 1,500 spots, with an additional 5,000 spaces available in the immediate area surrounding the venue. Parking lots will generally open 2.5 hours prior to an event's start time, though tailgating is not permitted. Parking rates vary depending on the location and event, though passes may be purchased in advance to eliminate day-of hassle.
