Babymetal's History

Babymetal is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 2010. The group’s unique musical style combines elements of traditional Japanese music with heavy metal guitar riffs and drumming. The band is made up of three female members, Su-metal, Moametal, and Yuimetal, and is backed by a band of instrumentalists.

In 2014, Babymetal became the first Japanese band to ever perform at the legendary music festival, Sonisphere. Later that year, they released their second album, “Metal Resistance.” This album debuted at number two on the Oricon chart, a major music chart in Japan.
