Overview

This historic performance hall has been entertaining audiences in Southern California for nearly a century and is one of the area’s busiest venues. The Pantages Theatre – CA is one of 84 theaters established by vaudeville impresario and movie producer Alexander Pantages. It opened in 1930 and quickly became a hub for vaudeville and early Hollywood films but eventually transitioned into its current role as a performing arts theater. Beloved stage productions like Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof and Mamma Mia have been housed here, as well as modern marvels like Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys and The Lion King. It can seat roughly 2,700 patrons.

Handicap Accessibility

There is no elevator within the theater, therefore wheelchair accessible seating is only available in the lower Orchestra section. This section is also equipped with aisle transfer seats, which feature movable arms for those with limited mobility. In addition, restrooms are in compliance with ADA standards for disabled guests.
