Overview

For nearly 20 years, the Smoothie King Center has served as the premier sports and entertainment venue of the greater New Orleans region. It is the exclusive home to the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, though it has also housed professional arena football and ice hockey teams throughout its history. The Smoothie King Center is a sports haven, having hosted both NBA and NCAA basketball, mixed martial arts and wrestling events, though it is also a frequent host of concerts featuring best-selling artists. It can accommodate just under 17,000 patrons.

Handicap Accessibility

As indicated in the above seating chart, wheelchair accessible seating is available in all but a few sections of the Smoothie King Center. Guests requiring these seats are guaranteed to have unobstructed views of their event and may purchase adjacent companion seats, subject to availability. Elevators and escalators are also available to provide easy access to all levels for guests with limited mobility. Restrooms, concession areas, drinking fountains, and entrance ramps are all in compliance with ADA standards.

Club/Suite Ticket Packages

There are over 50 luxury suites spread throughout the Smoothie King Center for guests who wish to enjoy their event in high-class style. These deluxe spaces come equipped with flat screen televisions, comfortable lounge seating, storage closet, and refrigerator, on top of providing incredible sight-lines of every event. Ticket holders can enjoy upscale catering service within their suite as well as be granted access to restricted, VIP-only lounge areas. Suites vary in size and can accommodate between 12 and 18 guests.

Amenities

Smoothie King Center boasts a wide variety of food and drink options. Concession items range from fan-favorite fare like pizza, nachos and popcorn to macaroni and cheese, grilled food and even Asian cuisine. Pelicans fans can snag official apparel at the onsite Team Store as well as various portable merchandise kiosks found throughout the arena. Concession and merchandise vendors accept most major credit and debut cards, but ATMs are also available within the arena for guest convenience.

Parking/Transportation

There are roughly 7,000 parking spaces available on the grounds of the venue's complex, spread throughout seven garages and two lots. Parking rates vary depending on the event and in special cases, not all parking facilities will be available for use during select events. Guests who opt to use taxis or other ride-share services will be directed to the designated drop-off/pick-up location outside the arena. Bicycle racks are also located outside the arena for guests who prefer to pedal their way there.
