Heart to Embark on Love Alive Tour

Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart will embark on the extensive Love Alive Tour, their first in three years. The summer outing will get a triple dose of star power with Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett and Brandi Carlile slated to appear on select dates.

The Love Alive Tour will get underway July 9 in St. Louis and run through September 9 with a concluding show set for the iconic Hollywood Bowl. A total of 39 cities make up the itinerary, including Nashville, Tampa, Chicago, Phoenix, Portland, Detroit, and Houston. A pair of July shows in Toronto and Montreal mark the lone Canadian gigs on the three-month tour.

Famed 80s rocker Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will appear with Heart on over half of all tour dates, while Crow is slated to perform throughout the first month of shows. Carlile is confirmed for only two performances – in Atlanta and Birmingham, respectively – as she also has her own headlining summer tour in the cards. Elle King and Lucie Silvas also join the tour billing as opening acts.

The Love Alive Tour marks the triumphant return of the sibling rock veterans, who went on hiatus after their 2016 tour. Though fans may have been unsure if there was a future for Heart following their break, the Wilson sisters credit their hiatus – during which they both released solo projects – with a new rejuvenation for Heart.

“Both Nancy and I have stretched our wings in life these last three years,” Ann Wilson told promoter Live Nation. “We’ve both lived and loved. We have breathed and traveled and experienced life. We come to this tour with fresh energy and oxygen.”

The singer went on to offer an exciting preview of what to expect from the Love Alive Tour, saying it “will be a new animal.” Nancy Wilson echoed that sentiment. “I think this tour should look, feel and sound bigger than other Heart tours so far.”
