Tori Kelly Plots “Inspired By True Events” Tour

Nearly three months after the release of her latest album Inspired by True Events, Tori Kelly has announced a subsequent tour. The singer will be hitting the road early next year on her Inspired by True Events Tour.

Kelly will kick off the North American run in Cleveland on January 28. From there, she’ll headline halls in Charlotte, New York, Tulsa, Chicago, LA, Toronto and more. The trek will conclude March 1 in Anaheim after a total of 21 performances. Shortly after, Kelly will head overseas for a brief, 10-date stretch across Europe.

This marks the first tour in two years for Tori Kelly, who has endured plenty of milestones since. She married last year and picked up her first Grammy wins in February for her sophomore album Hiding Place. The gospel R&B record was a successful departure from Kelly’s pop roots. It was named Best Gospel Album at the 2019 Grammys, while single “Never Alone” won for Best Gospel Song.

Inspired By True Events, which dropped August 9, sees the songstress return her focus to pop and R&B. It’s reminiscent of her 2015 debut record, but heavily influenced by Kelly’s life, making it her most personal album to date. She incorporates the sadness over her grandfather’s passing in “Your Words,” and pays tribute to her new husband in “Change Your Mind.” Meanwhile, single “Sorry Would Go A Long Way” digs into the pain of her parents’ divorce.
