Blake Shelton Extends Friends and Heroes Tour into 2020

Blake Shelton isn’t ready to say goodbye to his friends and heroes just yet. The country singer announced a new stretch of dates on his Friends and Heroes Tour that will keep him on the road through the early part of 2020.

Shelton will kick off the new tour leg February 13 in Portland. The 16-date itinerary primarily focuses on West Coast and Midwestern cities. Shelton will visit San Diego, Chicago, Salt Lake City and Sacramento, among others, before wrapping the trek in Detroit on March 21. Joining him for the ride will be Lauren Alaina, Trace Adkins, John Anderson and the Bellamy Brothers. The Friends and Heroes Tour launched earlier this year with the same lineup, something Shelton was eager to bring back.

“The Friends and Heroes Tour was so exciting and successful last year that I couldn’t imagine not trying something like that again,” he said in a statement. “Even though every night when the show wrapped, I would tell the audience that they might never see something like this again, with these legends, my plan was to at least try to make that happen. I feel like it was the best concert experience that I’ve ever been involved in, and I’m ready to get fired up again.”

Since he last hit the road, Shelton has been prepping his upcoming album Fully Loaded: God’s Country. The record, due out December 13, will feature seven of Shelton’s biggest hits along with five new tracks, including current single “Hell Right.” The Oklahoma native returned to the top of the country charts this year with his hit “God’s Country,” which is nominated for the CMA Award for Single of the Year.

Before the tour gets underway, Shelton will headline two major benefit concerts. On November 15, he’ll kick off the three-day ATL Live at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Keith Urban and Luke Combs will join Shelton as headliners for the weekend benefit. All concert proceeds will be donated to local organizations that support veterans and fight homelessness. On February 10 – just days before his tour begins – Shelton will once again team up with Urban and Combs to perform at the All for the Hall benefit concert in Nashville. The event, which goes to support the Country Music Hall of Fame, will also feature Chris Stapleton, Brothers Osborne, Tanya Tucker and more.

Shelton can currently be seen on NBC’s The Voice, where he is in his seventeenth season of being a vocal coach.
