The Raconteurs Reveal Comeback Tour Dates

The Racontuers will complete their musical comeback with an expansive U.S. tour. The band will embark on their first proper tour in nearly a decade this summer, they announced today.

The trek will get underway July 12 in Detroit and stretch through October 18, when the rockers will wrap up in St. Louis. A total of 31 cities make up the itinerary, including New York, San Diego, Charlotte, Indianapolis and Milwaukee, plus Canadian gigs in Vancouver and Toronto. The rockers will also perform two-night stints in Atlanta, Nashville and Tulsa.

Prior to revealing the tour, band members Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler finally reunited on stage after eight years to perform at an anniversary show in honor of White’s Third Man Records label. Their set included new songs “Help Me Stranger,” “Bored and Razed” and “Shine the Light on Me” from their highly-anticipated third LP Help Me Stranger, due out June 21. The follow-up to 2008’s Grammy-winning Consolers of the Lonely also features the previously released singles “Sunday Driver” and “Now That You’re Gone.”

Rumors of a comeback tour reached a peak when the band was revealed as performers at Woodstock 50 last month. Their turn at the August 16 anniversary bash in Watkins Glen, New York marks the second festival appearance among their run of upcoming tour dates. On August 10, they’ll perform at Lexington’s Railbird Festival. The Raconteurs will also perform a number of festivals overseas as they spend the coming months touring Australia and Europe.
