Louis Tomlinson is ready to hit the road! The former One Direction singer revealed dates for his first headlining tour as a solo artist.
Tomlinson will head out on his first outing, dubbed the Louis Tomlinson World Tour, beginning next spring. He’ll launch the global trek March 9 in Spain and perform across Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. The 22-date North American leg kicks off June 9 in Minneapolis and will make stops in New York, Chicago, Dallas and more before wrapping in Vancouver on July 23.
“Been waiting for this moment since I started my solo career,” Tomlinson wrote on Twitter. “Can’t wait to see you all on tour.” He finished the celebratory message by confirming that more dates would be added to the itinerary soon.
The exciting tour announcement accompanied the release of Tomlinson’s new single “We Made It.” It is the latest effort off his debut solo album Walls, which will drop January 31. The 27-year-old has released five other singles since One Direction split in 2015. His solo career has thus far remained true to his pop roots, though he has fused it with rock and electronic sounds, particularly in singles “Miss You” and the Bebe Rexha-featured “Back to You.”
Tomlinson’s former bandmates have also been busy with their own solo ventures. Niall Horan and Harry Styles recently released new singles of their sophomore albums, while Liam Payne confirmed his debut record LP1 will be released in December.
