Hamilton, which remains one of the most popular shows on the Great White Way, saw the biggest Mother’s Day savings, with the Sunday matinee get-in price more than doubling after the holiday. Tony-nominated Temptations musical Ain’t Too Proud enjoys a Mother’s Day savings of nearly $100. Acclaimed shows Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen, My Fair Lady, Frozen and The Lion King also featured lower prices on Mother’s Day, though those Broadway ticket discounts were marginal.
Some musicals have slightly higher Mother’s Day ticket prices, particularly Come From Away, which sees a price drop of nearly 45 percent the following week. On the other hand, Mean Girls and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical pulled less than a five-dollar difference. See which shows offer lower prices after Mother’s Day in the table below, ranked from smallest to highest price difference.

A handful of productions saw no change in price either weekend. Long-running favorites The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Chicago all remained stagnant in their get-in costs, as well as Tony-nominated new productions Oklahoma! and Beetlejuice.
The holiday savings are not a fluke, as similar savings were found on Mother’s Day last year. Broadway ticket discounts are rather easy to come by in the early spring and summer months, but do not last long. By the time November rolls around, the busy holiday season causes show prices to soar as much as 40 percent.
