Women’s History Month: 5 Pop Female Icons Touring in 2024

Madonna: The Celebration Tour

A music icon in every sense of the word, Madonna has been pushing boundaries and challenging norms since the release of her first album in 1983. As she embarks on “The Celebration Tour,” including rescheduled shows from 2023 due to illness, Madonna proves that she is as relevant as ever.

The “Vogue” singer is set to make stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami and Austin, with supporting act Bob the Drag Queen. “The Celebration Tour” follows Madonna’s 14th  studio album, Madame X, which was released in 2019. 

Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour 

Olivia Rodrigo has been taking the music world by storm since 2021 with the release of her debut single “Drivers License,” which broke numerous records including Spotify’s record for the first song to hit 80 million streams in one week. Rodrigo went on to win the 2022 Grammy for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance for her debut album Sour. 

This year, the “Vampire” singer has already begun her 75-date “GUTS World Tour” – which kicked off on February 23 in Palm Springs, supporting her sophomore album GUTS. Rodrigo is slated to visit cities such as New York, Boston, and Chicago before heading overseas to Europe. Breeders PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf are set to provide support on select dates.

P!NK: Summer Carnival Tour 

Known for her electrifying performances and fearless attitude, P!NK is set to bring her Summer Carnival Tour to stadiums across North America. After the unprecedented success of her 2023 tour, which sold over 3 million tickets and grossed $350 million, P!NK became one of the industry’s top performers.

The “Give Me A Reason” singer announced additional shows this year on her 2024 tour. P!NK is set to make stops in cities such as Philadelphia, Foxborough, Las Vegas, and Miami. The tour will feature special guest The Script in select cities with support from Sheryl Crow and KidCutUp.

Tate McRae: Think Later Tour

In 2020, Tate McRae ascended to prominence as an artist, amassing accolades such as YouTube’s Artist on the Rise, MTV’s Push Artist for July, and a Vevo DSCVR artist. Her talent landed her a coveted spot on Billboard’s 21 Under 21 One to Watch list as well as becoming the youngest individual listed in the music category of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the top ten breakthrough artists of the year.

This year, McRae is getting ready to embark on her 53-city tour, spanning across the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour is slated to kick off on April 17 in Dublin, with North American stops in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Nashville, Washington, D.C., and New York. 

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour 

Taylor Swift continues to seemingly effortlessly break records and exceed expectations. With her unparalleled success and ability to reinvent herself with each new era, Swift has become a global phenomenon. The Eras Tour, now in its second year, has already shattered records, grossing over $1 billion.

The “Love Story” singer recently played the biggest show of her career as she performed to over 288,000 fans across three nights at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Additionally, Swift made history at the Grammy’s where she won Album of the Year for the fourth time, making her the first artist ever to do so. 

The Eras tour isn’t just a concert; it’s a spectacle. Swift takes the stage for over three hours, performing a staggering 44-song setlist spanning her 20-year career. The “Mastermind” singer is scheduled to make her way back to North America on October 18, where she is set to perform back-to-back shows at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. From there, she is slated to perform three nights at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, two nights in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, and conclude with six shows at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. 

Amidst the tour, Swifties eagerly await the release of her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, slated for release on April 19.
