The Rolling Stones are giving their No Filter Tour another go around North American Stadiums this summer.
The upcoming leg will will launch in San Diego on May 8. It will bring the band to more than a dozen cities in a two-month span, including Detroit, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Buffalo and Louisville. The 15-date stretch will wrap in Atlanta on July 9.
“It’s a new year, a new decade & we’re thrilled to announce a brand new Rolling Stones No Filter 2020 tour,” the rockers wrote on social media, accompanied by a trailer clip detailing their life on the road.
Fans were quick to suspect an extension of the best-selling tour when Rolling Stones logos began appearing on billboards in various cities. An announcement of new dates seemed inevitable when the band shared a teaser clip to social media this week with the comment that they were “feeling restless.”
The No Filter Tour originally launched back in 2017 with European stretches before the “Start Me Up” rockers set out on a North American portion last summer. Their initial plans hit a snag when Mick Jagger announced a heart procedure would push back the tour by six weeks and forced them to cancel their headlining appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. However, unexpected rescheduling didn’t deter lifelong fans from catching the group. The No Filter Tour wound up being Ticket Club’s second-best-selling concert tour of 2019.
