Super Bowl LVIII Ticket Prices Are the Highest – EVER

With massive hype fueled by a first-ever Las Vegas Super Bowl and breathless “will she or won’t she” coverage of Taylor Swift’s potential attendance, Super Bowl ticket prices for the 58th edition of the big game are – by a wide margin – the highest they’ve ever been, according to Ticket Club marketplace data. Through Wednesday (February 7), consumers are paying an average of nearly $9,500 PER TICKET to see the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

The previous all-time high average Super Bowl ticket price? LV in 2020, which checked in at a reduced capacity and with a team (Tampa Bay) playing in its own home stadium. The 2024 Super Bowl is currently seeing an average price paid of about 36% more than that. Prices are up a staggering 72% compared to Super Bowl LVII average ticket prices a year ago ($5,494).

“We’ve really not seen anything like this,” says Sean Burns of the surging prices being paid on the secondary ticket market. “We have seen the average prices people pay for the Super Bowl rise significantly in the last decade, but these numbers blow that trend out of the water. The combination of the location, teams, and how much the NFL has set the market with its control of the ticket supply has really put the squeeze on fans’ wallets this year.”
