Sugarland announces 2018 comeback tour

Life just got a lot sweeter for Sugarland fans! The country duo comprised of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush announced their upcoming Still the Same tour, set to take place sometime later this year.

The Grammy-winning duo announced plans to travel to 48 North American cities on their website. The itinerary includes stops in Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Nashville, and Atlanta, as well as a pair of shows in Niagara Falls, Ontario, marking the lone Canadian stop. The massive tour will kick off May 4 in Durant, Oklahoma and run through September 8 when it concludes in Newark, New Jersey. In addition, the pair have committed to perform at various fairs and festivals in between select tour dates, including Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, the Minnesota State Fair, San Diego County Fair, and Daytona Beach’s Country 500 Festival.

The newly-anounced tour marks Sugarland’s first in six years, though as the name suggests, things are still the same. After going on hiatus in 2012, fans had long wondered when or if there would be new music in the duo’s future. In an appearance at the 2017 CMA Awards, Nettles and Bush coyly hinted that a resurgence in country music was not far away. They released lead single “Still the Same” from their upcoming album in late December 2017.

Special guests Frankie Ballard, Lindsay Ell, Clare Bowen and Brandy Clark are hitting the road for select dates alongside Sugarland in support.
