How ‘Bout Them Cowboys? Also, How ‘Bout Them Raiders?
NFL fans got their first crack at purchasing tickets to the upcoming 2023 season this week with Thursday’s leaguewide schedule release, and it’s clear who is in peak demand. The Las Vegas Raiders, still new to their Nevada home city and gleaming Allegiant Stadium saw the highest demand for home games, while the perennial favorite Dallas Cowboys were by far the hottest selling draw for their road games.
While sales data is just beginning to unfold, it’s obvious that the market has been set, and fans are chomping at the bit to see their favorites in action.
In terms of home team sales, Las Vegas sales made up almost 15% of the entire value of tickets sold, with the team selling both large numbers of tickets, and tickets at a high individual value. Pittsburgh home games covered just shy of 10%, with the LA Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Cowboys home games next in line.
