After the grueling regular season, the National Basketball Association is ready to get its playoffs grind underway, with play-in tournament games kicking off this week and first-round action to follow beginning over the weekend. Top seeds Boston in the East and Oklahoma City in the West await the play-in runner-up, which will have to play two games for the right to earn its matchup. No. 2 seeds New York and Denver will also face play-in tournament veterans, welcoming the winner of the 7th/8th place contest for their series.

Ticket prices for these high-stakes play-in tournament games are seeing a high premium this week, as fans are hoping to get in to cheer for their home squad to make it through to the playoff bracket – but where are tickets the hottest?

NBA Play-In Tournament Ticket Prices

Fans looking for the cheap prices for NBA play-in tournament tickets can find them in New Orleans and Philadelphia, primarily. The median asking price for Pelicans-Lakers tickets for the opening game is just $130, while the Heat at 76ers contest in the East Conference play-in is just above that at $137. As of Monday afternoon, the least expensive ticket for the play-in round is just $46 in Philadelphia.

On the other side of the range are tickets for the play-in showdown between California neighbors Golden State and Sacramento, which are seeing a beefy median asking price of $362. Should the Lakers host either of those teams in a second play-in round (which they will if they lose in the first go to the Pelicans), those would currently be the most expensive play-in round ticket, with median asking price of just shy of $600.

NBA Playoffs First Round Ticket Prices

While those final four teams in each conference duke it out for the 7th and 8th spots in the conference quarterfinal round, the other six teams await their games beginning this coming weekend. Ticket prices for those games are seeing a similar range, with fans looking to take in game 1 between the No. 6 seed Phoenix Suns and the host No. 3 seed Minnesota Timberwolves seeing the most affordable range, which has tickets as low as $71 with a median asking price of just $156.

Compare that with fans in the Big Apple, who will have to cough up a median of $667 to see Game 1 of the No. 2 Knicks series against the winner of the Miami-Philadelphia play-in game.
