Garth Brooks Reveals Brief Dive Bar Tour Dates

Garth Brooks is ready to shake things up from the norm. The country star will soon trade headlining major stadium marquees for much more intimate venues on his upcoming Dive Bar Tour.

Brooks revealed plans for the seven-date excursion on Sunday, divulging to fans that he’ll kick off the trek July 15 in Chicago. In typical fashion, however, the singer is keeping tight-lipped about further details. His Chicago venue remains unknown, while the remainder of dates will be announced on July 15.

The Dive Bar Tour comes in support of Brooks’ latest single “Dive Bar,” a rousing collaboration with Blake Shelton reminiscent of his signature hit “Friends in Low Places.”

While the Dive Bar Tour will be a massive change-up for both Garth Brooks and his fans, he is not straying too far from the familiar. His ongoing Stadium Tour is set to run simultaneously, with a pair of gigs in Boise scheduled just days after launching the Dive Bar Tour. However, one glaring difference that sets both tours apart from Brooks’ past shows is the absence of his wife Trisha Yearwood, who’s embarking on her own headlining tour.

Since coming out of retirement, the country hitmaker has been an unstoppable force on the road. His self-titled World Tour ran for three years and became the highest-grossing country tour, with nearly 400 shows performed. He has no plans to stop any time soon either. Brooks launched his must-see Stadium Tour last fall with a historic show at Notre Dame Stadium. That outing is said to visit over thirty North American stadiums and coincides with the release of Brooks’ upcoming fifteenth studio album, Fun, which features “Dive Bar” and previously-released singles “All Day Long” and “Stronger Than Me.”
