Dashboard Confessional Unveil 20th Anniversary Tour Dates

Dashboard Confessional have the number 20 on their minds. The rock outfit will spend the early part of 2020 on the road for their 20th anniversary tour, they revealed this week.

The commemorative trek will get underway February 4 in Dallas. It will stretch through the end of March and wrap up with a concluding show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Over 30 shows are scheduled across 24 cities, including two-night stints in San Francisco, Boston, Washington, Chicago, New York and Detroit. Other markets the band will visit include Phoenix, Seattle, Kansas City and Milwaukee. Special guests The Get Up Kids and Piebald will serve as supporting acts.

Just days before launching the 33-date jaunt, Dashboard Confessional will be releasing their first compilation album. The LP, dubbed The Best Of The Best Ones, will feature fan-favorite tracks across their seven previous albums as well as live tracks from their album MTV Unplugged 2.0.

While the tour marks 20 years since the release of their debut album The Swiss Army Romance, it’s the band’s subsequent two albums that will be most celebrated. They are slated to play 2001’s The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most and 2003’s A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Star in their entirety at select shows. Most cities, however, will hear a mix of both records when Chris Carrabba and company take the stage.
