Coachella 2017 lineup announced

The official Coachella 2017 lineup has been announced to the delight of many. Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Beyonce will each headline two shows of the two-weekend festival, with some of music’s best and brightest newcomers supporting them.

The official Coachella Twitter account made the announcement with a single tweet of the festival’s poster, displaying all the acts making a splash in Indio, CA this spring.

Beyonce fans are especially stoked about the ever-popular festival. The “Formation” singer is the first woman to headline the event in a decade–Bjork was the last lady to get the gig in 2007–and the first woman of color headliner ever.

All three headliners are basking in the success of their latest albums. Radiohead’s ninth studio effort A Moon Shaped Pool garnered widespread critical acclaim, and topped the charts in their native U.K. as well as the U.S. Rock and Alternative charts. Beyonce hit a home run last year with Lemonade, her visual album that many hail as the best of her career, and Kendrick Lamar continued to impress with his third album To Pimp a Butterfly, which earned him two Grammy Awards.

They will be joined by other notable performers like Lorde, Mac Miller, Bon Iver, DJ Snake, Future, Gucci Mane, Galantis, DJ Khaled, Grouplove, Bastille, Martin Garrix and several others.

The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicks off April 14 and wraps up April 23.
