The Lumineers have rolled out dates for their upcoming world tour, which will span more than six months through next summer.
The massive tour kicks off in November with a stretch of 17 European dates before launching the North American leg February 1. They’ll headline major arenas for a month before taking a hiatus in March and will later resume the tour in mid-May for a run headlining amphitheaters. Cities on the winter itinerary include Detroit, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh and St. Louis while Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte and Virginia Beach are among The Lumineers’ springtime schedule. A total of 30 markets make up the North American tour leg.
Their tour news comes in support of the folk rockers’ third studio album III, due out September 13. Their follow-up to 2016’s Cleopatra has already propelled The Lumineers back on music charts as they earned an Alternative Chart No. 1 with lead single “Gloria.”
Founding members Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites – along with touring company Byron Isaacs, Lauren Jacobson, Brandon Miller and Stelth Ulvang – will preface their new tour with a handful of festival appearances this fall. They are booked at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival and San Francisco’s Outside Lands this month along with Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival and the Sea.Hear.Now Festival next month.
