50th New Orleans Jazz Festival Lineup Revealed

Music giants like The Rolling Stones, Santana, Dave Matthews Band, Katy Perry and more will take over the Big Easy this spring. They are all among the dozens of artists comprising the lineup for the 50th New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, which was revealed today.

The annual gathering returns for its milestone 50th year and will run the course of two weekends, kicking off April 25. Each day of the bash promises a unique lineup of performers spanning all genres. The action begins with Earth, Wind and Fire, Alanis Morissette, Ciara and the Doobie Brothers taking center stage on Thursday, April 25. Veteran rockers Santana, Jimmy Cliff, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the Revivalists headline the first Friday’s schedule. Weekend One will close out with must-see sets from Perry and Van Morrison on April 27 and 28, respectively.

New Orleans will be rocking on May 2 when the festival’s second weekend launches with The Rolling Stones. Their festival appearance comes just days after the start of their No Filter stadium tour, but is highly-anticipated nonetheless. Country superstar Chris Stapleton headlines the second Friday set, while the final weekend concludes with Dave Matthews Band on Saturday and Jimmy Buffett on Sunday.

A horde of other notable artists are also slated to appear throughout the festival’s duration. Current chart-movers like Lauren Daigle, Logic, J Balvin and Pitbull make the billing. Legends like John Fogerty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bonnie Raitt, Gladys Knight and Al Green are not to be missed either.

Held at the New Orleans Fairgrounds, the festival will also be a celebration of the city’s culture. Local delicacies from crawfish to jambalaya can be enjoyed at a variety of food stands. In addition, vendors with handmade crafts, artwork and fashion pieces will also be onsite.
