Ariana Grande fans are waiting no more: the pop star has finally unveiled dates for her Sweetener Tour.
The tour will kick off March 18 in Albany and stretch three months with a concluding gig in Madison Square Garden. A total of 42 cities are on the itinerary, including Chicago, Milwaukee, Nashville, Tampa, Denver, Portland and Pittsburgh. Canadian gigs are scheduled in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver. While only North American tour dates have been revealed, Grande has confirmed that shows overseas will be announced at a later date.
Grande’s massive fan base has been eagerly inquiring about possible tour dates since the singer released Sweetener in August. She has played coy about returning to the road and even teased that new music would happen before a tour supporting her latest No. 1 record. She finally revealed on Twitter earlier this week that she was indeed ready for a tour and working on finalizing all the details, but assured fans that tour dates were imminent.
The upcoming tour marks a bright spot for Grande, whose personal life has gone through the ringer in recent months. She has been vocal about struggling with anxiety following the 2017 bombing at her concert in Manchester Arena, which killed 22 fans and injured hundreds more. Most recently, she is reeling with the sudden passing of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and split with fiancé Pete Davidson after their five-month, whirlwind romance.
