Prices and availability are subject to change.

The Super Bowl Rematch Is Week 1’s Most Expensive Ticket Market

The NFL season begins Wednesday night in Seattle with about as strong a storyline as the league could schedule: the New England Patriots visit the Seattle Seahawks seven months after Seattle defeated New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.

It is the first season-opening Super Bowl rematch since Denver and Carolina met to open the 2016 season, and the Seahawks will raise their latest championship banner in front of the Lumen Field crowd.

Ticket prices reflect a premium market. Patriots-Seahawks has the highest approximate Week 1 Member get-in at $265 and the highest median at $645. Ticket Club marketplace data also shows comparatively tight availability for the matchup.

For shoppers, the median is especially useful here. A get-in tells you the lowest current entry point, but the median gives a better sense of where the middle of the available market sits. When both are high, as they are in Seattle, shoppers should expect the broader selection of tickets to carry premium prices as well.

The NFL’s First Game in Australia Creates a Unique Ticket Market

One night later, the 49ers and Rams meet at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the first NFL regular-season game ever played in Australia. It also happens to be an NFC West rivalry between two 2025 playoff teams: the Rams reached the NFC Championship Game and San Francisco reached the Divisional Round.

The ticket market looks unlike anything else in Week 1.

Ticket Club’s September 8 snapshot shows by far the thinnest available selection of the week for the Melbourne game. Because this is a historic international event rather than a typical NFL home date, it deserves to be treated as a special case when comparing it with the rest of the schedule. Its approximate Member get-in is $208, with a $480 median.

For U.S. viewers, the NFL schedule lists the game for Thursday, September 10 at 8:35 PM ET; locally in Melbourne, it is played Friday, September 11.

Cowboys-Giants Shows Why More Availability Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Lower Prices

Sunday Night Football opens with one of the NFL’s familiar NFC East rivalries. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants will meet in a season opener for the eighth time in the past 15 seasons.

The Giants-Cowboys market is also one of Week 1’s most revealing.

Ticket Club shows a relatively broad selection of tickets compared with several other marquee games, yet the approximate Member get-in is still $264, just one dollar below the Week 1 high. The median stands at $630, second-highest of the week.

That is why shoppers should not automatically assume that a game with more available choices will be inexpensive. Supply matters, but so does the price sellers are asking across that supply.

Division Rivalries Fill the Premium Sunday and Monday Windows

The opening week also puts several longtime rivalries into prominent television windows.

The Green Bay Packers visit the Minnesota Vikings for the 132nd Packers-Vikings meeting, with Green Bay holding a 67-61-3 advantage in the all-time series entering the game. The approximate $212 Member get-in is among the highest in Week 1, and available supply is comparatively tight. Its $370 median, however, is much less extreme.

That difference between a high get-in and a more moderate median is worth noticing. It shows why shoppers comparing games should consider more than the cheapest available listing. Once a buyer begins comparing different seating locations and price points, the broader shape of the market can matter as much as the minimum price.

The Washington Commanders visit the Philadelphia Eagles in another NFC East matchup Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia enters as the two-time defending division champion, although the teams have split their regular-season series in each of the past two years. The approximate Member get-in is $177, but the median climbs to $512, with relatively few lower-priced options in the current snapshot.

Week 1 then concludes with the Denver Broncos visiting the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Denver snapped Kansas City’s nine-year streak as AFC West champion last season. The current ticket market is less expensive than some of the other featured rivalry games, with an approximate $186 get-in and $419 median.

Standalone Games Carry a Week 1 Price Premium

Taken together, the four games outside the normal Sunday-afternoon windows—Patriots-Seahawks, 49ers-Rams in Melbourne, Cowboys-Giants and Broncos-Chiefs—stand noticeably above the rest of the schedule.

Their average event-level get-in is $231, compared with $133 for the 12 Sunday-afternoon games. That is a 73% difference. Their average event median is $544, versus $369 for the Sunday-afternoon group.

That does not prove that prime time itself causes higher ticket prices. The standalone schedule is also where the NFL placed the Super Bowl rematch, an international game and two major division rivalries.

But it gives future ticket shoppers something useful to consider: when comparing games on a team’s schedule, nationally featured rivalry games, unusual venues, major rematches and other showcase dates may look very different from a standard Sunday-afternoon matchup.

Where Week 1 Shoppers Can Find Lower-Priced Options

Not every opener carries a premium.

Jets-Titans has the lowest approximate Week 1 Member get-in at $24 and a median of $179, with a substantial portion of the current market sitting toward the more affordable end of the Week 1 spectrum.

Cardinals-Chargers combines a $36 get-in with one of Week 1’s broadest available selections and a $191 median. Ravens-Colts has the lowest median of the entire schedule at $163, even though its get-in is higher at $81.

Those examples highlight another useful shopping lesson: the game with the cheapest single ticket is not necessarily the game with the cheapest typical ticket.

Consider Jaguars-Browns. The approximate get-in is only $57, but the median is $311. A shopper who focuses only on “NFL tickets starting at $57” might come away with a very different expectation from someone who looks at the broader range of available seats.

What to Look at When Shopping for NFL Tickets

Week 1 offers a useful framework that applies throughout the NFL season.

Start with the get-in price, but don’t stop there

The get-in answers one question: “What is the cheapest ticket available right now?” If you care about where you sit, how many tickets you need or having more choices, the median and broader price range can be more informative.

Compare several games on the schedule

If the goal is to see a particular team rather than a particular opponent, comparing home dates can reveal substantial differences. Rivalries, holiday games, prime-time dates, international games and marquee opponents can occupy very different price tiers.

Look at availability along with price

A broader selection can give shoppers more choices among sections, rows and price points, but Week 1 shows that more availability does not automatically equal a low price. Cowboys-Giants and Dolphins-Raiders both show relatively broad selections while remaining among the more expensive games in the snapshot.

Think about the tickets you actually want

A $24 get-in is useful for a fan whose priority is simply getting through the gate. Someone shopping for lower-level seats, a specific sideline or four seats together should pay more attention to the relevant listings than to the headline minimum.

Treat ticket prices as a snapshot, not a forecast

Resale prices and availability can change as sellers list tickets and buyers make purchases. A current price comparison can show what the market looks like now, but it does not tell us with certainty whether a particular game will become cheaper or more expensive.

That makes comparison shopping especially important. Fans searching for NFL tickets can compare opponents, dates, seat locations and current prices across the schedule rather than assuming every game for a team will cost roughly the same.

Week 1 makes that point clearly: one NFL ticket market currently starts around $24, another around $265, and the reasons a fan might choose either game go well beyond the cheapest seat.

Ticket Club shoppers can browse the full NFL ticket schedule and compare available Member and Non-Member Prices before choosing a game. Orders purchased through Ticket Club are also protected by the Ticket Club Guarantee; full terms and documentation requirements apply.

Pricing reflects Ticket Club marketplace data as of September 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET. Prices and availability are dynamic and may change.
