The Air Force Falcons are a collegiate sports team that represents the United States Air Force Academy based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Falcons participate in a range of sports, including football, basketball, ice hockey, and soccer, among others. They are a member of the Mountain West Conference and compete in the NCAA Division I.

The Air Force Falcons have a rich history, dating back to 1955 when the United States Air Force Academy was established. The Academy's athletic program was launched in 1957, and the Falcons were born. The Falcons started with football, and their first game was a 34-0 loss against the University of Denver.

The football program did not pick up right away, but the Falcons made their first bowl appearance in 1959 at the Gator Bowl, where they defeated the University of Dayton. The team continued to make progress, and in 1963, they had a perfect 9-0 record but were ineligible for a bowl game due to Academy regulations at the time.

In 1982, the Falcons achieved their most successful season in football, going 12-1 and winning their first and only outright conference championship. They reached the Liberty Bowl and defeated Vanderbilt 36-28 in Memphis. Throughout their history, the Air Force Falcons have participated in 29 bowl games and have experienced a reasonable amount of success.

Basketball is the second most popular sport at the Academy, and the Falcons have had some remarkable players over the years. All-time leading scorer and rebounder, Bob Beckel, played for the Falcons in the early 70s and was drafted into the NBA by the San Francisco Warriors. Additionally, in 1990, Branduinn Fullove arrived at the Academy, and he became the all-time leading three-point shooter in Falcons' history.

The Air Force Falcons have also had some success in ice hockey, with their most prominent achievement being their participation in two NCAA Frozen Fours. The team has won five regular season championships and four conference tournament championships.

The Falcons' soccer program has been one of the most consistent sports at the Academy, with 23 winning seasons and 12 conference championships. The team has also won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament in 2005 and 2012, and they have participated in four NCAA Tournaments.
